A Paradise For Everyone

Considered by many as paradise, these islands give off the impression that you are thousands of miles and a couple plane rides tucked away in a remote part of the world.

Perfect spot to unwind from the emails, ipads, smart phones, and social networks.

I have been making the short trip south of Miami for over 20 years. Every time, making it just a little harder to leave back to reality.

The list of things you can do at the Keys are extensive and include something for any age. There is bar-hoping, boating, dinning, diving, fishing, jet-skiing, parasailing, shopping, sight-seeing, snorkeling, water-skiing, and even swim with the dolphins. With so many choices on how to fill up your stay, some folks are perfectly happy with laying out on a beach with some sun, music, and their favorite cocktail.

The locals are always friendly and willing to share some of their secret spots to enjoy their islands to the fullest. I can go on and on what the Florida Keys have to offer, but I am not trying to sell you a service they have to offer. I am just giving you my take on one of my favorite places in the world.

Every time I arrive at the Keys, all the problems you have on a day to day basis, seem to fade away as you approach the first key. Every mile marker you pass, there is one more restaurant, one more museum, one more beach, one more state park, one more memory you can make with your family, friends, or significant other.  Each island has its own flavor that they are known for. All islands equipped with stunning sunrises & sunsets.

While I am down there, I try to spend the day outside enjoy the sea breeze that sweeps through the islands. I enjoy lounging on the beach or taking a dip in the warm ocean. I enjoy concerts at Holiday Isles, lunch at Island Grill, bar-hoping in Key West, sunsets at Mallory Square, shopping at Mel Fishers’, fishing, and boating in between all the coves, bays, mangroves, and islands. I enjoy finishing off the day with a good cocktail and watch the sun sink into the water, dine on some local caught fish, and star-watch while smoking a cigar with good company. Social networking in the Keys takes on a whole new meaning. Group chats are not by yourself in an office with a computer, instead, they are with friends, locals, and strangers in front of a picture-perfect sunset while sipping a cocktail.

Whatever your day may include or exclude, just remember that your privileged to be there. Enjoy everything that the islands, mother nature, and the locals have to offer, because before you know it, you will be back to reality. All you can hope for is that the memories, pictures, and experiences can hold you off until your next trip back. Well, back to reality & see you at the Keys soon.
